Abu Dhabi, UAE – His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Excellency Mohamed Ould Cheikh Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania,

exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. This took place during a telephone call between the two leaders.

Mutual congratulations on this blessed occasion

The two sides exchanged warmest congratulations and best wishes on this occasion.

They also prayed to God Almighty. They prayed that it would return to both countries

and their brotherly peoples with goodness, prosperity, and blessings.

Additionally, they prayed that He would perpetuate the blessings of security and stability upon them.

Emphasis on the depth of bilateral relations

During the call, the UAE President and the Mauritanian President affirmed

the strong fraternal ties between the UAE and Mauritania.

They also expressed their commitment to further enhancing cooperation across various fields.

This would serve the interests of both countries and their peoples.

Aspirations for regional security and stability

Both sides expressed their sincere wishes for peace and stability to prevail throughout the world.

This is especially important in light of the challenges facing the region.

They also emphasized the importance of strengthening joint efforts

to achieve security and development for the Arab and Muslim peoples.
