Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) condemned Iran’s dangerous escalation following the recent attacks targeting the Habshan gas facility and the Bab oil field in the UAE. This highlights the Council’s dedication to maintaining regional stability.

The GCC also affirmed that these actions pose a direct threat to regional security and energy stability, as stated by the Council.

Serious repercussions for regional security

In an official statement, the Council expressed its categorical rejection of any attacks on vital infrastructure.

The international community is urged by the Council to take immediate action to de-escalate tensions

and ensure energy security and the stability of global markets.

The statement clarified that the recent attacks constitute a flagrant violation of international laws, as the (GCC) underscored.

Such conventions concerning the protection of vital economic facilities are closely monitored by the Council.

Furthermore, the continuation of such practices could have serious repercussions for regional and international security according to the Council’s warning.

Council.. Disruption of oil and gas supplies

Experts pointed out that such attacks increase the risk of disrupting oil

and gas supplies in a region vital to global energy, which calls for attention from the Council.

Therefore, it is imperative for Gulf states to strengthen security

and defense coordination to counter any potential threat, a priority highlighted by the Council.

Through this stance, the Gulf Cooperation (GCC) affirms its full commitment to protecting the security

and stability of its member states and maintaining their vital role in global energy markets, with the support of the Council.

While remaining prepared to take all necessary measures to respond to

any aggression targeting the region’s interests, the Council remains vigilant.
