Dubai, UAE – The Dawoodi Bohra community in the UAE announced its contribution of AED 2.1 million to support the “Lifeline” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation.

Which was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan.

With the aim of raising at least one billion dirhams to be invested in combating child hunger around the world.

community campaign

The Ramadan campaign, which falls under the umbrella of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, focuses in particular on children who face the most serious forms of hunger in the most vulnerable communities.

Especially in disaster, crisis and conflict areas.

Five children under the age of five die from malnutrition and hunger in the world every minute.

All segments of UAE society, individuals and institutions, are participating in the campaign.

In a practical expression of the values of deep human solidarity.

This reflects the collective sense of responsibility to protect children’s right to life, development, and a decent life.

The campaign comes in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund “UNICEF”, Save the Children, the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation, and Action Against Hunger.

An embodiment of noble human values

Kenana Jamaluddin, representative of the Sultan of Bohra and head of the Dawoodi Bohra community in Dubai, said that the “Lifetime Limit” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation embodies the noble human values on which the UAE was founded, and the culture of giving and helping others that is deeply rooted in the souls of the people of this generous society. This made him a role model in love, tolerance, and the initiative to do good and support everyone in need anywhere in the world.

The “Limit Life” campaign to save 5 million children from starvation continues to receive contributions from institutions and individuals through 7 main channels:

It is the campaign’s dedicated website www.edgeoflife.ae, and the campaign’s toll-free call center at 8004999.

You can also contribute through a bank transfer to the campaign account (IBAN No: AE940340003708472909222) at Emirates Islamic Bank in UAE dirhams.
