Dubai, UAE – American Patrick Reed was crowned honorary champion of the “International Series” this season in the “Race to Dubai” competition on the “DB World” golf tour.
This came at the conclusion of the Johannesburg Open in South Africa, as he continued to lead the world rankings in the race to Dubai.
As the competition continues towards the season finals hosted by the UAE in Abu Dhabi and Dubai next November.
On Monday, the organizing committee announced Reed’s superiority after a series of positive results this season.
Most notably, he won the Hero Dubai Desert Classic title, which was held at the Emirates Golf Club last January.
It is one of the elite tournaments in the Rolex series, in addition to his winning the Qatar Masters title last February.
In addition, he recently finished tenth at the Johannesburg Open, which concluded on Sunday.
Reid collected 1,840 points in the “International Series”, which included 7 tournaments held in 5 countries across the continents of Asia and Africa, namely the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kenya and South Africa, to strengthen his position at the top of the “Race to Dubai” standings.
On Sunday, the Johannesburg Open witnessed Briton Dan Bradbury winning his third title in his career on the DB World Tour, and the second in this tournament after winning it in 2022, earning 500 points and advancing to fourth place in the “Race to Dubai” classification with a total of 1052 points.
Bradbury finished the tournament with a total of 17 under par. He is ahead of South African duo Casey Graves and Englishman Brandon Thompson, who scored 16 under par.
Adrian Otaygui continued to achieve positive results by finishing sixth for the second week in a row.
After achieving the same position last week at the South African Open.
Otaygui finished the competition with 12 under par.
To score 84 points and advance 25 places to rank 50th in the “Race to Dubai” classification, with a total of 236 points.
The Final in the Emirates
The Johannesburg Open is the twelfth stop on the DB World Tour calendar this season.
Competitions bearing the name and logo of Dubai are held around the world under the name “Race to Dubai” by organizing no less than 42 tournaments in 25 countries.
The season’s competitions conclude in the UAE.
The top 70 players qualify for the Abu Dhabi Championship, which will be held at Yas Links Stadium from November 5 to 8, 2026.
Before the top 50 players qualify for the final tournament of the DB World Tour at Jumeirah Real Estate Golf Club in Dubai during the period from 12 to 15 November 2026.
