Abu Dhabi, UAE – The number of digital documents authenticated on the Digital Verification Platform, affiliated with the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority, has reached more than 30 million and 722 thousand documents.

The total number of documents verified on the platform has increased to approximately 948,000.

The number of types of digital documents made available reached 66, issued by 25 federal and local government agencies.

The platform, which was launched in mid-January 2022, allows government and private entities, in addition to individuals, to digitally verify the authenticity of documents issued by participating government entities immediately, without the need for a paper document or requesting an exact copy, and to convert clients’ documents into reliable digital documents with privacy and the highest levels of information security.

Individuals can obtain a “trusted digital document” from digital verification platform partners or through a digital identity app.

Document owners can share them with any third party through various digital platforms.

While government agencies can add digital documents to the digital verification platform after becoming a partner of the platform.

The platform is one of the most prominent accelerators of comprehensive digital transformation in the UAE.

Which relies on blockchain technology and acts as a shared, instant, and encrypted digital record for processing and recording transactions, contracts, and various documents.

To regulate the process of trusting digital data and documents, verifying their credibility through digital auditing, and sharing data and documents.

Since its launch, the digital verification platform has represented an advanced step towards achieving what was stipulated in the UAE Government Services Strategy.

Which aims to provide human-centered services, establish trust between government and society, enhance the country’s global competitiveness, and ensure sustainability and effectiveness.

The platform was launched as part of the UAE Digital Government Roadmap 2021-2025, to achieve the goal of 100% digital government services.

By focusing on levels represented by individuals, companies, and federal government employees.

Based on strategic priority axes, including enabling easy and fast integrated digital services designed based on customer needs, and raising the level of digital capabilities and skills.
