Dubai, UAE – Emirates Hospitals Group, a leading integrated healthcare provider in the UAE, has announced a strategic collaboration with University Hospital of Nice in France. University Hospital of Nice is a prestigious European academic institution specializing in advanced healthcare and medical research. This collaboration marks a significant step in Emirates Hospitals Group’s commitment to promoting clinical excellence. The group also aims to advance medical education and support scientific research across the region. Furthermore, this partnership will contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare provided to patients in the UAE and the wider region.

Expanding the horizons of knowledge exchange

This collaboration aims to broaden knowledge exchange, enhance clinical cooperation, train physicians, and build academic partnerships. It leverages the world-class expertise of Nice University Hospital in specialized care, research, and medical innovation. Furthermore, this collaboration supports the strong clinical presence of Emirates Hospitals Group and its growing healthcare network in the UAE.

On this occasion, Christian Schumacher, Executive Chairman of Emirates Hospitals Group, said: “This collaboration with Nice University Hospital represents an important milestone in Emirates Hospitals Group’s journey to continuously raise clinical standards and enhance our academic and medical capabilities. Through our partnership with a leading European university hospital, we seek to support knowledge transfer, develop medical competencies, and achieve better outcomes for our patients.”

Improving healthcare outcomes

For his part, Mr. Prasengit Bhattacharya, Chief Operating Officer of Emirates Hospitals Group, affirmed: “This partnership reflects the Group’s firm commitment to improving healthcare outcomes through collaboration with global centers of excellence and bringing international clinical expertise to patients in the UAE. It also aligns with our broader strategy to expand international partnerships and enhance specialized services. In addition, it seeks to solidify the Group’s position as a leading platform for advanced healthcare, education, and research in the region.”

Mr. Rodolphe Bourret, CEO of Nice University Hospital, said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with Emirates Hospitals Group, as this collaboration opens up broad prospects for clinical and academic integration, and strengthens bridges of cooperation between healthcare institutions in Europe and the Middle East.”

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Latifa Al Sada, Head of the Consular Affairs and Citizens’ Affairs Department, who praised the importance of this collaboration between healthcare institutions in the UAE and France. She emphasized that it represents a significant step towards strengthening cooperation frameworks. Furthermore, she noted that this initiative enjoys the strong support of His Excellency Fahad Saeed Mohammed Abdullah Al Raqbani, UAE Ambassador to France.

The signing ceremony was also attended by several high-ranking officials, including Hervé Caille, City Councillor and Commissioner for Digital Affairs and Customer Simplification, and Vice-President of the Supervisory Board of Nice University Hospital. Also present was Christiane Amiel, Deputy Mayor of Nice and Commissioner for International Relations. Johanna Lerfel, Health Advisor for the Middle East at the French Embassy in Saudi Arabia, also participated. In addition, a number of leading academic and medical figures from the Nice University Hospital Faculty of Medicine were in attendance.
