Dubai Aerospace Enterprise signs long-term agreement with Sumon Air

Dubai, UAE – Dubai Aerospace Enterprise announced on Monday the conclusion of a long-term agreement with Somon Air.

This is with the aim of leasing two new Boeing 737-8 aircraft, with the two aircraft to be delivered during 2026.

Firuz Tarapur, CEO of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise, confirmed that this agreement represents the beginning of cooperation with Somon Air to join the company’s customer base.

He noted that Somon Air, as the national carrier of the Republic of Tajikistan, seeks to expand its fleet and enhance its operational capabilities.

He expressed his aspiration to develop a long-term strategic partnership that will contribute to the expansion of its fleet in the coming years.

For his part, Abdulqassim Waleev, CEO of Somon Air, said that signing the leasing agreement constitutes an important step in supporting the expansion of the company’s route network.

In addition to launching new destinations, in addition to enhancing the operational efficiency of its operations.

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise owns and operates a fleet of approximately 750 aircraft, including 237 Boeing aircraft.

With ongoing plans to expand its fleet to keep pace with the growing demand in the global aviation sector.
