Shabab Al Ahli enjoyed a slight advantage in the first half. They threatened Al Wasl’s goal early on with a clear one-on-one opportunity for Matheus Lima in the 28th minute. However, Al Wasl goalkeeper Khalid Al Senani made a brilliant save, turning the shot behind for a corner.
