Dubai, UAE – Emirates Airlines expected a significant peak in travel traffic during the first week of January.

Highlights
  • 1- Take advantage of the options for completing travel procedures remotely
  • 2- Book a service to complete travel procedures from home in Dubai and Sharjah
  • 3- Use public transportation such as Dubai Metro to and from the airport
  • 4- Arrive at Dubai International Airport 4 hours before the flight time

With high numbers of departures and arrivals recorded during the period from January 2 to 5.

The carrier strongly recommended that passengers arrive at the airport four hours before take-off time.

Taking into account the possibility of traffic congestion on the roads leading to the airport, full parking spaces, and high traffic density inside the airport.

Emirates Airlines also called on travelers to benefit from a range of services that allow them a faster and smoother travel experience.

1- Take advantage of the options for completing travel procedures remotely

Customers can save time at the airport by completing travel procedures at the Travel Procedures Completion Center at the Dubai International Financial Centre.

The center is located in a prime location in the heart of the commercial district.

It provides Emirates customers with free parking to complete travel procedures and deliver luggage up to 24 hours and up to 4 hours before the flight time.

Customers who complete travel procedures and deliver their luggage at this location until January 15 will receive a 2,500-mile reward from Emirates Skywards per passenger.

The center operates daily from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 midnight, until January 15.

2- Book a service to complete travel procedures from home in Dubai and Sharjah

Emirates offers its customers the option to complete travel procedures from home in Dubai and Sharjah.

Emirates employees complete travel procedures at the customer’s home, hotel or office, and transport luggage to the airport.

This allows passengers to arrive at the airport later with only their handbags.

This service must be booked at least 24 hours before the flight time, and Emirates Airlines advises booking early to avoid unavailability of the service.

3- Use public transportation such as Dubai Metro to and from the airport

Dubai Metro provides a fast and convenient way to reach Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport, through the red metro line that provides direct access to the airport.

وتعمل القطارات بوتيرة منتظمة من ساعات الصباح الباكر وحتى وقت متأخر من الليل.

Which makes it an effective option to avoid traffic congestion during peak periods.

4- Arrive at Dubai International Airport 4 hours before the flight time

Emirates recommends that its customers arrive at Dubai International Airport 4 hours before the scheduled take-off time.

This is to ensure that there is sufficient time to complete travel procedures if they have not been done previously via the Emirates application or the Emirates.com website.

In addition to handing over luggage, completing passport procedures, and arriving at the boarding gate at least an hour before take-off time.

Emirates also urges all passengers to choose their seats in advance and ensure that all travel documents are valid.
