Sharjah, UAE – The Asian Youth Modern Sailing Cup competitions begin.

Which is organized by Al Hamriyah Club in cooperation with the Emirates Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation, during the period from 25 to 30 December.

The Emirates Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation announced the participation of 18 countries in the tournament.

He explained that the first day’s programme includes procedures for registering participants, in addition to holding a reception for the participating delegations and teams.

Mohammed Al Obaidli, Secretary General of the Emirates Modern Sailing and Rowing Federation, said that organizing the Asian Youth Modern Sailing Cup represents an important milestone in the course of the game, and that hosting this event reflects the great confidence that the Asian Sailing Federation attaches to the UAE and Al Hamriyah Club, and their ability to organize continental championships according to the highest technical and organizational standards.

He praised the efforts of Al Hamriyah Club in hosting the tournament.

He stressed that the event comes as an extension of the development witnessed by the sailing sports system in the Emirates.
