Abu Dhabi, UAE – The National Center of Meteorology issued a report on the weather conditions during the period from December 13 to 19.
He explained that the country is affected by a state of atmospheric instability in the form of waves.
This is due to the extension of a surface depression from the Red Sea accompanied by humid southeasterly winds.
With an extension of an upper depression that deepens and sometimes weakens, and is accompanied by an air current from the northwest.
The center said that during the period from Saturday to Monday, the weather will be partly cloudy to sometimes cloudy.
With a chance of light to moderate rain, sometimes heavy, in some areas, especially on islands and some coastal and northern areas.
The center added that from Tuesday to Friday, the upper low pressure system will deepen, accompanied by a cold air mass.
Clouds are increasing in scattered areas, interspersed with cumulus clouds, accompanied by rainfall of varying intensity at intervals and in waves, sometimes accompanied by lightning and thunder, and the possibility of hail falling in some areas.
He pointed out that the winds will be southeasterly to northeasterly, turning to moderate northwesterly to active in speed and sometimes strong, especially with cumulus clouds.
It causes dust and dirt, leading to poor horizontal visibility.
He stated that the sea will be light to medium waves, and sometimes turbulent, especially with the clouds in the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
