Dubai, UAE – The UAE has achieved tangible progress in the Sustainable Development Goals, with the achievement rate reaching 62% according to global methodologies.

This reflects its firm commitment to developing sustainable policies and its leadership of a global model for rapid implementation and integration among government agencies.

This was announced at a meeting of the National Committee for Sustainable Development Goals, which discussed ways to strengthen the national data system supporting development indicators.

In addition to the importance of improving data quality and integrating work between government agencies, which represent a fundamental pillar for consolidating the country’s progress on global indicators.

The committee reviewed the latest developments in preparing the third voluntary national review report in 2026, and followed up on progress in implementing the national plan for sustainable development data.

Which aims to develop data collection mechanisms and raise their efficiency in line with international best practices.

The Committee stressed the priority of investing in building national capacities and developing statistical competencies.

In addition to expanding cooperation and partnerships with international organizations specialized in methodologies and statistics.

To enhance data reliability and accuracy and support the national system for long-term sustainable development.

The General Secretariat of the National Committee reviewed the latest developments in preparations for the third voluntary national offer, which the UAE will submit to the United Nations in July 2026, and which comes as an extension of the 2018 and 2022 offers.

Members stressed the importance of the presentation reflecting national success stories and the country’s efforts to accelerate the achievement of global goals.

In addition to highlighting pioneering experiences and practices that can be generalized at the international level.

The attendees stressed the importance of involving various national sectors and concerned parties in preparing the presentation.

To ensure the submission of a comprehensive report reflecting progress made, challenges, and future opportunities, and to review the latest initiatives and developments supporting the Sustainable Development Goals in various fields.

Emphasizing the adoption of innovative practices and future solutions to enhance national progress, improve data quality, and support the country’s readiness for display.

It is noteworthy that the National Committee for Sustainable Development Goals is following up on the implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and aligning the UAE’s priorities with international goals.

In addition to exchanging experiences with local and global partners, to expand the circle of active participants in implementing the United Nations agenda for sustainable development goals.
