Cairo, Egypt – Dr. Nazir Muhammad Ayyad, the Grand Mufti of Egypt and President of the General Secretariat of Fatwa Institutions in the World,
participated on Tuesday evening in the United Arab Emirates’ celebration of its 54th National Day.
It was organized by the UAE Embassy in Cairo at the invitation
of Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi, the UAE Ambassador to Egypt.
Fosters a strategic partnership
During his participation, the Grand Mufti expressed his great appreciation
for the pioneering achievements made by the UAE in the fields
of development and scientific and technological advancement.
He stressed that Egyptian-Emirati relations represent a genuine Arab model of cooperation and brotherhood.
The bonds of culture, faith, and identity that unite the two peoples strengthen
a strategic partnership based on trust and joint action.
His Eminence pointed out the keenness of the Egyptian Fatwa House to strengthen
its cooperation with Emirati religious institutions in efforts to spread sound awareness

a shared responsibility towards the nation and its future.
For his part, Ambassador Hamad Obaid Al Zaabi welcomed the participation
of the Grand Mufti of the Republic in the national celebration.
