Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Excellence in Oncology Care Conference (EIOC 2025) officially opened today. It is welcoming over 2,000 oncologists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from around the world. Over the next three days at the InterContinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City, the conference will serve as one of the Middle East’s leading and most influential platforms. It will advance oncology knowledge, innovation, and collaboration.

EIOC 2025 aims to advance cancer research and innovation by fostering knowledge exchange. It unveils groundbreaking scientific findings, and strengthens international collaboration. These efforts enhance cancer prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment outcomes worldwide.

30 specialized organizations

EIOC has established itself as a cornerstone event in advancing oncology across the region. The 2025 edition gathers 30 specialized organizations and more than 200 international experts. It includes 14 scientific sessions, providing participants with a comprehensive platform to explore the newest breakthroughs. Evidence-based approaches and innovative practices are redefining cancer care on a global scale.

Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, Chairman of INDEX Holding, stated:
“EIOC 2025 reflects our commitment to advancing healthcare excellence and fostering innovation in oncology. By bringing together leading experts, researchers, and emerging talent, the conference creates a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and the development of cutting-edge solutions. These efforts will shape the future of cancer care in the region and beyond.”

From her side, Dr. Shaheenah Dawood, President of the EIOC Conference, said:
“EIOC 2025 provides participants with unparalleled insights into integrated oncology care, digital health innovations, AI-driven diagnostics, and the future of precision medicine. By bringing together research, technology, and emerging talent, we are shaping the future of cancer treatment. We are also improving outcomes for patients worldwide.”

The first day of the conference

On its first day, EIOC 2025 sheds light on a comprehensive scientific agenda. It addresses the most pressing challenges and breakthroughs in oncology. The conference explores a wide array of topics, including breast cancer. Sessions cover the latest developments in targeted therapies, early detection biomarkers, and precision medicine strategies. These strategies improve survival rates and reduce recurrence risks.

Discussions on lung cancer highlight advances in immunotherapy, molecular profiling, and minimally invasive diagnostic techniques that transform patient care. In uro-oncology, experts examine evolving treatment paradigms for prostate, bladder, and kidney cancers. They emphasize the role of genomics and personalized medicine.

The significance of oncology nutrition is also emphasized. It shows how proper nutrition enhances treatment tolerance, improves outcomes, and mitigates therapy-related side effects. The conference further highlights the crucial role of oncology nurses in delivering patient-centered care, managing symptoms, and providing psychosocial support.

Palliative care specialists share best practices in holistic care, pain management, and end-of-life decision-making. Their aim is to ensure dignity and quality of life for patients and families. The APMEA Molecular Tumor Board (MTB) serves as a global collaborative platform. Here, multidisciplinary experts analyze complex cancer cases using genomic insights and molecular diagnostics. This guides optimal treatment strategies.

Young Leaders in Oncology

A key highlight of the day is the Young Leaders in Oncology (YLO) session. It is a dynamic platform dedicated to nurturing the next generation of oncology professionals. YLO showcases groundbreaking research, innovative approaches, and thought-provoking case studies from young oncologists. This fosters innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence. The session also features a competitive element. It recognizes the best presenter while encouraging participants to deliver their most impactful work.

Through these sessions, EIOC 2025 provides participants with deep insights into integrated oncology care, digital health innovations, AI-powered diagnostics, and the future of precision medicine. It demonstrates how technology, research, and emerging talent are transforming cancer care worldwide.
