Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates – Reports issued by the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah showed the continued positive performance of the business market in the emirate during the third quarter of this year.

After the total number of valid commercial licenses reached 21,575 licenses by the end of the third quarter of 2025, compared to 20,408 licenses during the same period in 2024, with a growth rate of 5.7%..

The department explained that this growth reflects the flexibility of the business environment and the continued expansion of the base of economic activities.

In light of government efforts to support investment and facilitate doing business through digital services and advanced infrastructure.

In an analysis of the age structure of active licenses, the data showed that recent licenses (three years or less) constituted 24.6% of the total valid licenses, recording a growth of 17.5%.

This reflects increasing activity in establishing new projects.

Licenses ranging from three to five years grew by 20.6%.

Licenses exceeding ten years continued to represent about 53.5% of the total.

This indicates the stability of the old base and its continued renewal at a high pace.

Amina Qahtan, Director of the Commercial Affairs Department at the Department of Economic Development in Ras Al Khaimah, confirmed that the results recorded during the third quarter reflect the maturity of the business environment in the emirate and its balance between new and stable projects.

She pointed out that the diversity in license ages represents a health indicator of the sustainability of economic activity and the continuity of investment flows in various sectors.
