Benghazi, Libya – The Emirates Arabian Horse Association, in cooperation with the National Equestrian, Camel and Heritage Sports Authority in Libya, is organizing the National Arabian Horse Beauty Championship.

This will be during the period from October 18 to 21 at the Al-Watan Shooting and Equestrian Club in Benghazi.

With the participation of a number of marabouts and owners from various Libyan cities.

The championship comes within the framework of joint cooperation between the two sides and their keenness to develop Arabian horse beauty show competitions and enhance interest in the common cultural heritage represented by Arabian horses.

The Emirates Arabian Horse Association announced on Friday that the number of participating horses reached 122, belonging to 37 owners, and that the horses were registered through the association’s website.

She pointed out that the tournament will witness an electronic arbitration system to calculate and display the results directly on display screens, and that the competition in the tournament will be in the categories of one-year-old mares and foals, two- and three-year-old mares and foals, in addition to the categories of mares and stallions.

The tournament also includes a training program accompanied by specialized technical workshops and courses that begin on October 18, and includes topics about the disciplinary committee, the role of the arena referee, and the role of the exhibitor.

It aims to raise the efficiency of the elements participating in organizing Arab horse show championships.

In addition to exchanging experiences in the fields of presentation and arbitration in accordance with international standards.

This program targets the Libyan technical team to enhance its skills and develop its expertise in line with international best practices in this field.

The championship embodies the Emirates Arabian Horse Association’s keenness to support and develop the activities of purebred Arabian horses, and to enhance their cultural and heritage presence.

Which contributes to strengthening ties between the UAE and sisterly and friendly countries.
