Providing health care
It’s worth noting that the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation was launched in 2015. It serves as an umbrella organization for the various initiatives and institutions sponsored by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. This foundation has been operating for more than twenty years. It includes more than 30 initiatives and institutions, covering various humanitarian, community, and development sectors. It also focuses specifically on less fortunate countries and the needy and deprived in vulnerable communities.
The Initiatives Foundation implements hundreds of projects, programs, and campaigns. These fall within five main areas of work: humanitarian and relief aid, healthcare and disease control, spreading education and knowledge, future innovation and leadership, and community empowerment.
Healthcare and disease control occupies a key area of the Foundation’s scope of work. Within this axis, the Foundation works to address the most prominent health issues and combat infectious diseases and epidemics. It also seeks to provide urgent healthcare, particularly in the maternal and child sectors.
Through this axis, the Initiatives Foundation seeks to alleviate the suffering of people in less fortunate areas. This is achieved by providing basic medical services and preventive healthcare. Their efforts also include performing surgeries, developing treatment programs, and conducting preventive and awareness campaigns. The Foundation also seeks to develop ongoing health monitoring mechanisms. In addition, they support and fund research, study, and medical grant programs. Furthermore, medical personnel are trained and empowered. All efforts and capabilities are invested to provide healthy environments. These environments contribute to the elimination of the most common diseases and the containment of serious illnesses. Moreover, they ensure the rapid and efficient containment of epidemics to preserve human capital in societies.
