Ras Al Khaimah, UAE – The Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zones Authority, Rakez, concluded a week-long working tour in China. It was chaired by Rami Jallad, Group CEO, and included strategic meetings and gatherings in Suzhou and Shenzhen.

The tour succeeded in consolidating close partnerships with a number of industry associations and companies specializing in renewable energy. Smart equipment, sustainable green construction.

The visit to Suzhou came as part of the growing partnership between Rakez and THI. Which focuses on developing a high-tech industrial complex in Ras Al Khaimah dedicated to the high-tech and smart manufacturing sectors. With the aim of attracting companies from East Asia and promoting global innovation. During the visit, the Rakez delegation conducted a strategic review and an inspection tour to follow up on the progress of work in developing the industrial complex, including the implementation of agreements and completed operational stages.

In Shenzhen, Rakez organized an extensive investment seminar that included a group of major Chinese companies. Discussions revolved around strategies for entering the UAE market, and the available government and regulatory support. And cross-border investment opportunities provided by the free zone system in Rakez.

Participating companies represented sectors including photovoltaic systems, energy storage and new energy equipment. Wires, cables, logistics for supply chains and glass facades of buildings “wall curtains”. Global integrated cross-border services, digital exhibitions and solar PV construction engineering.

Today, the Rakez system includes approximately 400 Chinese companies active in various sectors, including recycling, LED lighting systems, engineering, and packaging. One of the most prominent companies that has made Rakez the headquarters of its regional operations is the Chinese State Construction Company. Metalie Industries, McTranson Show Lighting, Zaiwei Construction, and Bright Inc. & Coating.

Rakez’s relations with China are not limited to this round, but extend to strategic partnerships with the Tianjin Free Trade Pilot Zone. Longhuafi District, Shenzhen City and Foshan City Trade Bureau.

Supporting Chinese projects

The Authority continues to support China-related industrial projects in Ras Al Khaimah. Among them is the Mighty Industrial Park project to establish a Chinese-Emirati industrial complex focusing on metal recycling, smelting, precious metal refining and advanced manufacturing. Which contributes to supporting sustainable industrial development and promoting the principles of the circular economy.

These visits and initiatives reflect Rakez’s commitment to strengthening its presence in the Chinese market and building long-term strategic partnerships. Which consolidates its position as a reliable destination for Chinese companies seeking expansion. Achieving sustainable industrial growth in Ras Al Khaimah and the region.
