Abu Dhabi, UAE – Abu Dhabi Ports Group announced the signing of a partnership agreement with Brugge PLC. To explore opportunities to expand the scope of cooperation between the two sides with the aim of enhancing the flexibility of export operations and raising operational efficiency.

The agreement paves the way for the two sides to cooperate in establishing an alternative international export gateway on the UAE’s east coast. To be a major center within Bruges PLC’s long-term export strategy.

This initiative aims to ensure the continuity of export operations and enhance flexibility across the Bruges logistics network.

Benefit from a strong maritime connectivity system

The cooperation will focus on benefiting from the strong maritime connectivity system provided by the Abu Dhabi Ports Group.In addition to access to its integrated port services in Fujairah Ports, the group’s facility overlooking the eastern coast of the UAE. With a study to develop specialized polyolefin infrastructure on the eastern coast of the country.

The two sides will also evaluate ways to reduce dependence on busy and limited sea lanes, and enhance the flexibility of scheduling ship movement and routes by cooperating with shipping lines to activate new shipping lanes through Fujairah ports.

Support stable export flows

Together, these efforts aim to support stable and reliable export flows across a diverse network of ports and logistics facilities.

Bruges is the largest exporter through the Abu Dhabi Ports Group. This cooperation is based on a long-standing partnership between the two sides since 2001.

The agreement reflects the shared ambition of both Abu Dhabi Ports Group and Bruges PLC to enhance the resilience of supply chains. Consolidating the UAE’s position as a competitive global center for logistics and industrial services.
