Abuja, Nigeria – Nigerian authorities have unveiled advanced plans to boost oil production by building a giant refinery. This refinery aims to increase the country’s refining capacity and reduce reliance on imported fuel. This is part of a national strategy to promote energy self-sufficiency.

Sources in the petroleum sector explained that the new project is one of the largest refining projects in Africa. It is expected to contribute to increasing the supply of petroleum products in the local market. In addition, it will open new export opportunities to neighboring countries.

Officials confirmed that the refinery will create thousands of jobs during its construction and operation phases. This will positively impact the Nigerian economy and support industrial development plans.

Through this project, Nigeria seeks to regain its position as a regional energy power, particularly given the challenges facing global oil markets.
