Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Al Nasr clinched a valuable 1-0 victory over visitors Ajman on Sunday evening at Al Maktoum Stadium. This match concluded the second round of the ADNOC Pro League.

The decisive goal came in the 71st minute, when Abdullah Toure rose high to head the ball into the net. This gave “Al Ameed” the win and three important points. With this result, Al Nasr moved up to second place on six points. Meanwhile, Ajman remains at the bottom of the standings with no points.

The match began with both sides trading attacking attempts in the first half hour, though neither created a real threat. Al Nasr came close in stoppage time of the first half when Luka Milivojević’s brilliant free kick struck the post.

Ajman’s task became harder just before halftime. Leory Matias was shown a red card for a dangerous challenge on Cheickna Doumbia.

In the second half, Al Nasr thought they had broken the deadlock in the 62nd minute through Doumbia. However, the goal was disallowed for offside. Italian forward Gabbiadini then squandered two clear chances in the 67th and 68th minutes.
Al Nasr’s persistence finally paid off when Toure powered in the winning header in the 71st minute. The scoreline held until the final whistle, sealing a narrow but deserved victory for the Dubai side.
With this win, Al Nasr affirms their strong start to the season. Meanwhile, Ajman continues searching for their first points.
