Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – The General Command of Abu Dhabi Police, in cooperation with the National Narcotics Control Agency, was able to arrest a gang consisting of 3 people of Asian nationality in possession of 377 kilograms of crystal drug. After the control men, with their field experience, succeeded in uncovering the gang’s professional style and thwarting its attempt to hide drugs inside oil cans designated for sewing machines.

Brigadier General Taher Gharib Al Dhaheri, Director of the Narcotics Control Directorate, explained that this gang tried to hide drugs in an innovative way.

But the efficiency and ability of the combat men prevented them from achieving their goal.

He stressed that the success of the anti-drug elements in seizing narcotic substances and arresting dealers is due to the wise leadership’s support for the anti-drug file and providing the necessary capabilities to pursue those involved in drug cases. In line with the national strategy adopted by the National Anti-Narcotics Agency to enhance security and safety in the emirate.

He called on community members not to be led by misleading rumors and misconceptions that drug use makes you feel happy and comfortable. The truth is that it has very negative effects on human health and safety.

He also called on the public, if they receive information related to drug cases, to quickly report it via the 8002626 security function.
