Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Museum of the Future in Dubai has recorded a new achievement, with the number of visitors exceeding 4 million visitors from all over the world, since its official opening on February 22, 2022, thus consolidating its position as one of the most prominent future cultural and scientific landmarks and the most attractive to visitors in the region and the world.
This new achievement came less than four years after the opening of the museum, which has become an exceptional destination that combines science fiction, immersive experiences and future visions, within an integrated knowledge and cultural system that embodies Dubai’s vision and mission to pioneer foresight and create the future.
The Museum of the Future continues to play its role as a global center for innovation and forward-thinking, a comprehensive platform for change makers, thought leaders and experts, and a major driver in stimulating global scientific and technological mobility in the world.
His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, President of the Museum of the Future, stressed that the museum’s achievement of this record number of visitors represents a living embodiment of the exceptional vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, may God protect him, in consolidating Dubai’s position as a global center for the future, and a destination that embraces creators, scientists and innovators from all over the world.
His Excellency said: The Museum of the Future embodies the ambition of Dubai and the UAE to be a global model in designing and creating the future. The museum has become a beacon of hope that brings together optimists and aspirants from all cultures and nationalities under its roof. In addition to being a unique architectural edifice, the Museum of the Future provides a platform for empowerment and capacity building, aiming to ignite the spark of inspiration in the souls of those aspiring to draw the features of tomorrow, by asking big questions and anticipating possible answers.
His Excellency said that the culture of anticipating the future has transformed the UAE into one of the most advanced countries in the world in less than fifty years, noting that the museum will remain a symbol of tolerance, coexistence, openness, creativity and innovation, attracting various cultural, philosophical and social viewpoints, to consolidate a future rooted in the values of the UAE and the Arab world, and inspired by the path of humanity.
The Museum of the Future, located in the heart of Dubai, is a prominent destination for decision-makers, experts, thinkers and hundreds of thousands of visitors annually, and is a global platform for the meeting of visions and ideas, and a permanent platform for dialogue about the challenges and opportunities facing the future of humanity.
Since its opening until today, the museum has hosted about 423 events, conferences and dialogue sessions, which touched on various topics such as “artificial intelligence”, “city sustainability”, the future of education, health, economy, work, technology, arts and many other fields that primarily concern humans.
The Museum of the Future in Dubai has established itself as one of Dubai’s most prominent cultural landmarks, a favorite destination for visitors from around the world, and a prominent stop for leaders, officials, and official figures during their visits to the UAE.
Over the past year alone, the museum has welcomed a number of international dignitaries, including the Prime Minister of Lebanon, the Vice President of Tanzania, the Deputy Prime Minister of Belgium, the Prime Minister of Vietnam, and the former President of the Republic of Liberia.
The museum witnessed the participation of 610 international media delegations to cover its various activities, reflecting its distinguished position in covering future issues. It also received visitors from more than 180 nationalities around the world, confirming its role as a cultural and interactive bridge between peoples.
Throughout the year, the Museum of the Future continues to consolidate its position as a dynamic and vibrant platform by organizing a series of qualitative events that address future issues from various scientific, humanitarian and technical perspectives. The Dubai Future Forum is one of the most prominent of these initiatives, as it is the largest global gathering of future experts and designers. During its previous sessions, it hosted more than 3,650 experts from more than 100 countries, to be a platform for exchanging visions on the future paths of the most important vital sectors.
The Museum of the Future hosts dozens of conferences, events and global events annually, most notably various events within the “Dubai Artificial Intelligence Week” held last April under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, and hosted more than 30,000 participants and experts from around the world, the largest global technology companies and the most prominent promising startups.
Dubai AI Week 2025, organized by the Dubai AI Utilities Centre, an initiative of the Dubai Future Foundation, included 10 major events across Dubai, more than 250 dialogue sessions and workshops, and witnessed the launch of more than 30 initiatives, partnerships and agreements between the government and private sectors, investors and startups.
The Museum of the Future has launched a series of intellectual lectures on history and the future entitled “Lessons of the Past for the Future” to be held throughout 2025. The “Dialogues of the Future” series also occupies a central place in the museum’s annual program, as these sessions are held periodically to address advanced strategic topics including artificial intelligence, sustainability, education, arts and economics, and host a group of international thinkers, decision-makers and experts.
The museum also hosts the Ramadan Council, which brings together a group of experts and thinkers in dialogue sessions that highlight sustainability opportunities in the Islamic world, with a focus on applying Islamic principles in this field, with the aim of anticipating an ethical and humane future for modern technologies.
The museum pays special attention to developing the awareness of emerging generations, as it annually organizes the “Summer Camp for Future Heroes”, which provides children and adolescents with a unique opportunity to explore the world of the future through workshops and immersive experiences that enhance creativity and open horizons of science fiction.
With 4 million visitors, the museum proves to be not only a unique architectural landmark, but a living space for interacting with and creating the future, within an inspiring environment that celebrates the human mind and its capacity for imagination and change.
