Seattle, USA – Hossam Hassan, the head coach of the Egyptian national team, expressed his full satisfaction with his players’ performance against Belgium in their opening Group G match at the World Cup 2026. Consequently, the coach asserted that the Pharaohs were the better side for the majority of the match, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Moreover, Hossam Hassan explained in his post-match statements that Egypt successfully matched one of the world’s strongest teams thanks to their fighting spirit and tactical organization. As a result, the coaching staff believes their hard work over the past period has clearly paid off on the pitch. Thus, Egypt has proven its true ability to compete with football giants on the world stage.

Scoring Chances and Refereeing Objections

Hossam Hassan emphasized that Egypt was closer to securing all three points, given the numerous opportunities created by his players throughout the match. Accordingly, the coach expressed his dissatisfaction with certain officiating decisions, claiming that the Pharaohs were denied a clear penalty kick. In addition, he noted that his team possesses the experience and quality to face any opponent. Conversely, observers view this statement as a reflection of the coach’s immense ambition to build a team that fears no challenge. Consequently, this competitive spirit places Egypt in a strong position within the Group G standings.

Focus on the Future and Qualification Ambition

In a related context, Hossam Hassan confirmed that the coaching staff has completely moved on from the Belgiu match. On the other hand, the focus is now entirely on the upcoming two group stage games. Consequently, the team is striving to achieve its main objective: qualifying for the knockout stages of the World Cup 2026. Ultimately, belief in the players’ abilities remains the primary driver for achieving more in the coming rounds. Accordingly, Egyptian fans are eagerly awaiting the Pharaohs’ upcoming results under the leadership of Hossam Hassan to achieve a historic accomplishment.
