Barcelona opened the scoring in the 59th minute through Pau Coparsi, who rose to meet a perfect cross and headed it powerfully into the net, giving his team the advantage.
But Girona didn’t have to wait long, as they quickly equalized in the 62nd minute through Thomas Lemar, bringing the game back to square one and igniting the atmosphere of the match.

With this victory, Girona raised its tally to 29 points in twelfth place, while Barcelona’s tally remained frozen at 58 points in second place, two points behind leaders Real Madrid.
