Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Al-Ittihad Jeddah achieved a resounding victory over their Qatari guests Al-Gharafa, after raining down seven goals on them, in the match that brought them together last night, as part of the AFC Champions League Elite competitions.

Al-Ittihad hosted Al-Gharafa at King Abdullah International Stadium “Al-Inma”, as part of the seventh round of matches in the continental championship.

Al-Ittihad started the goal fest early through Moroccan Youssef En-Nesyri, who opened his scoring account with the team in the Asian Championship, in the third minute of the first half.

Algerian star Houssem Aouar reinforced Al-Ittihad’s superiority by scoring a hat-trick against Al-Gharafa in the 20th, 58th and 79th minutes, confirming Al-Ittihad’s control over the course of the match.

The Saudi team continued their offensive dominance, with young Roger Fernandez scoring two goals in the 49th and 62nd minutes, while Portuguese defender Danilo Pereira concluded the goal fest by scoring the seventh goal in the 51st minute.

With this resounding victory, Al-Ittihad raised its tally to 12 points, occupying fifth place in the AFC Champions League Elite League standings, after achieving four wins against three losses.

In contrast, Al Gharafa of Qatar’s tally remained frozen at 6 points, keeping them in tenth place, after achieving only two wins and suffering five defeats.
