Rabat, Morocco – The Egyptian national team bid farewell to the Africa Cup of Nations tournament from the semi-final stage, after losing to the Senegalese national team by one goal to nil, in the match that brought them together on Wednesday evening.
The match was held at the Ibn Battuta Stadium in Tangier, Morocco, as part of the semi-final round of the tournament.
The first half saw a balanced performance from both teams, with Senegal having relative control but without dangerous opportunities, ending in a goalless draw.
In the second half, Senegal managed to score the winning goal in the 78th minute through Sadio Mane.

The Egyptian team tried to come back in the score during the remaining minutes of the match, intensifying the pressure and making attacking changes, but they did not succeed in achieving an equalizer.
With this result, Senegal qualified for the Africa Cup of Nations final, awaiting the winner of the match between Morocco and Nigeria.
