Madrid, Spain – Real Madrid qualified for the round of 16 of the Spanish King’s Cup, after a thrilling 3-2 victory over Talavera.
Real Madrid met Talavera in the round of 32 of the Spanish King’s Cup.
Real Madrid opened the scoring in the 42nd minute, through Frenchman Kylian Mbappe, who successfully converted a penalty kick.
Talavera player Manuel Farando scored a second goal for Real Madrid by mistake in the 45+1 minute of the match.
The goal came after a pass from Mbappe that Farando tried to clear, but it ended up in his team’s net.
In the 80th minute, Nahuel Arroyo reduced the deficit for Talavera, after receiving a pass from the right side and shooting it into the net.
Mbappe returned again in the 80th minute, adding his second goal and his team’s third, before Talavera scored their second goal in the 90+1 minute, through Gonzalo Di Renzo.
The match remained a back-and-forth affair between the two teams, but without any new goals being added, ending with Real Madrid winning by a score of (3-2).
