Cairo, Egypt – Al-Masry Al-Youm newspaper reported that the Court of Arbitration for Sport issued a decision to suspend Ramadan Sobhi, a player for the Egyptian Pyramids FC, for four years, following accusations that he tampered with his doping sample.
The newspaper indicated that the Court of Arbitration for Sport officially notified the Egyptian Anti-Doping Organization, which in turn promptly forwarded the decision to the Egyptian Football Association, informing it of Ramadan Sobhi’s four-year suspension.
Under this decision, the player will be banned from participating in any local or international sporting activity subject to anti-doping regulations until 2029, including official matches, contracts, transfers, and training camps.
Ramadan Sobhi’s decision comes hours after his detention was renewed until December 30, in connection with the case of forging exams at the Higher Institute for Tourism and Hotels in the Abu Nimras area of Giza.
