Cairo, Egypt – UAE national team coach Cosmin Olăroiu has announced his squad for the 2025 Arab Cup, which will be held in Qatar.
The 2025 Arab Cup is scheduled to take place in Doha from December 1-18.
The UAE national team is in Group C of the 2025 Arab Cup, along with the national teams of Egypt, Jordan, and the winner of the match between Kuwait and Mauritania.
The UAE national team squad included Yahya Nader, who has Egyptian roots, alongside Yahya Al Ghassani, Caio Lucas, and Bruno Oliveira. It also saw the return of Essam Fayez of Ajman, Mohammed Juma of Shabab Al Ahli, and Sasha of Al Wahda.
Meanwhile, 8 players were excluded from the list: Abdullah Ramadan, goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani, Khalifa Al Hammadi, Mohammed Rabee, Gustavo Alex, Gaston Suarez, Caio Canedo, and Mohammed Awadallah.
The UAE national team roster is as follows:
Goalkeepers: Khalid Eisa (Al Ain Club) – Ali Khaseif (Al Jazira) – Hamad Al Muqbali (Shabab Al Ahli Dubai).
Defense: Sasha Ivkovic (Al Wahda) – Kwame Kwiddo (Al Ain) – Lucas Pimenta (Al Wahda) – Alaeddin Zahir (Al Wahda) – Marcos Meloni (Al Sharjah) – Ruben Amaral (Al Wahda) – Richard Akonnor (Al Jazira) – Khalid Al Dhanhani (Al Sharjah).
Midfield: Ali Saleh (Al Wasl) – Luan Pereira (Al Sharjah) – Hareb Abdullah (Shabab Al Ahli Dubai) – Nicolas Jimenez (Al Wasl) – Yahya Al Ghassani (Shabab Al Ahli Dubai) – Essam Fayez (Ajman) – Yahya Nader (Al Ain) – Majed Rashid (Al Sharjah).
Attack: Caio Lucas (Sharjah) – Bruno Oliveira (Al Jazira) – Mohammed Juma (Shabab Al Ahli Dubai) – Sultan Adel (Shabab Al Ahli Dubai).
The UAE national team is scheduled to begin its journey in the Arab Cup tournament with a match against Jordan on December 3.
The first and second place winners in each group qualify for the quarter-finals.
