Doha, Qatar – The Arab Football Federation unveiled the mascot for the upcoming Arab Cup tournament on Sunday, November 23. The tournament will be hosted by Qatar, and the mascot is named “Juha,” one of the most famous humorous and storytelling figures in Arab culture and heritage.
The tournament is scheduled to begin on December 1st and will continue until the 18th of the same month.
Participation of 16 teams
Qatar is hosting this edition for the second time, following the resounding success of the 2021 tournament. That edition brought the competition back into the spotlight and placed it firmly on the global map in a professional format. It also featured extensive television broadcasting. This success contributed to an increase in the prize money for the upcoming edition, in addition to FIFA being entrusted with the full organization of the tournament.
The tournament will be held with the participation of 16 Arab national teams competing for the title.
The tournament is an important football event in the region, confirming the depth of Arab football competition.
