Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Maidan International Racecourse will host, on Friday, the second evening of the Dubai Racing Carnival for the current season.
With the participation of 66 horses, and an elite group of coaches and knights from within the country, they compete in 7 rounds with a total prize pool of one million and 940 thousand dirhams.
It is led by the main fifth round, “Dubai Creek Mile”, while the evening witnesses the first purebred Arabian horse races classified through the Baniyas Cup for the second category.
The ceremony will open the first round of the Bani Yas Purebred Arabian Horses, over a distance of 1400 meters, “second category”, sponsored by Nakheel and with prizes amounting to 300 thousand dirhams, and 13 horses will participate.
The second round, “Nakhlat Jabal Ali”, will be held over a distance of 1400 meters, with prizes of 165 thousand dirhams, and with the participation of 8 horses.
Followed by the third round, “Palm Central”, for a distance of 1,600 meters, with the same prize and the participation of 11 horses.
The fourth round, “Thunder Snow Handicap”, has a distance of 1,900 meters and prizes of 300,000 dirhams, with the participation of 10 horses.
The fifth and main round of the Dubai Creek Mile will be highlighted tonight, with a distance of 1600 metres and prizes of 500 thousand dirhams.
It witnesses the participation of 9 horses in a strong competition.
In the sixth round, “Dubai Island”, over a distance of 1,400 metres, with prizes of 300,000 dirhams, 8 horses participate.
The ceremony concludes with the seventh round of the “Nakhil” race, covering a distance of 1600 meters, with prizes of 210 thousand dirhams, with the participation of 7 horses.
