Cairo, Egypt – Real Madrid secured a valuable victory over Barcelona, scoring two goals to one, in the Spanish League match held on Sunday evening.

Real Madrid met Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in the tenth round of La Liga.

Real Madrid started the match well, being awarded a penalty kick in the second minute of the first half after Vinicius Junior was brought down inside the penalty area by Lamine Yamal.

But after reviewing the video technology, the referee cancelled the goal and ordered the game to resume.

Real Madrid took the lead in the 22nd minute, thanks to French star Kylian Mbappé. He scored after a precise pass from Jude Bellingham, who beat the offside trap and then fired the ball into the net.

Barcelona equalized in the 38th minute after a mistake by Arda Güler, which led to Pedri successfully intercepting the ball, sending it to Rashford, who sent in a perfect low cross, which Fermin López followed up with a tap-in.

Real Madrid managed to regain the lead once again, scoring the second goal in the 43rd minute, following a cross from Vinicius Junior. Eder Militao headed it in, and Jude Bellingham put it into the net.

Referee Soto Grado awarded a penalty kick to Real Madrid. It was awarded for a handball by Eric Garcia after consulting VAR. However, Polish goalkeeper Szczesny brilliantly saved Kylian Mbappé’s shot in the 52nd minute.

In the 99th minute, Pedri received a red card after receiving a second yellow card following a clash with Tchouameni.

The victory raised Real Madrid’s tally to 27 points, strengthening its lead in the Spanish league standings. Barcelona remained in second place with 22 points.

This is Xabi Alonso’s first win in El Clásico, after taking over from Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid lost to Barcelona in El Clásico four times last season. The results were twice in the league, once in the Copa del Rey, and once in the Spanish Super Cup.
