Cairo, Egypt – Saturday’s matches in the ninth round of the English Premier League witnessed several exciting results, as well as several surprises that ignited the battle for top spot in the league.

Manchester United continued their revival with a 4-2 victory over visiting Brighton at Old Trafford.
Manchester United’s four goals were scored by Matheus Cunha, Casemiro, and Bryan Mbeumo (two goals) in the 24th, 34th, 61st, and 90+7 minutes.
While Brighton’s goals were scored by Danny Welbeck and Charambos Kostoulas in the 74th and 90+2nd minutes.
The victory raised Manchester United’s tally to 16 points, jumping to fourth place, while Brighton’s tally remained at 12 points in 13th place.
Newcastle honours Fulham with a double
In the same round, Newcastle United defeated visiting Fulham 2-1 at St. James’ Park.
Jacob Murphy and Borno Guimaraes scored for Newcastle United in the 18th and 90th minutes, while Sasa Lukic scored for Fulham in the 56th minute.
The victory raised Newcastle United’s score to 12 points, placing them in 11th place, while Fulham came in 16th place with 8 points.
Sunderland surprises Chelsea with an exciting double
Sunderland achieved a surprising victory over Chelsea, 2-1, in the match held at Stamford Bridge.
Alejandro Garnacho scored Chelsea’s goal in the fourth minute, while Sunderland turned the tables with goals from Wilson Isidore and Chamseddine Talbi.

The victory raised Sunderland’s tally to 17 points, placing them second in the Premier League table, while Chelsea finished eighth with 14 points.
