Somali Mohieddin Abu Bakr was crowned champion of the 64th international edition of UAE Warriors

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – Somali Muhyiddin Abu Bakr won the main flyweight title in the 64th international edition of the UAE Warriors Mixed Martial Arts Championship.

Which was held yesterday evening at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center “ADNEC”, organized by Palms Sports Company as part of Abu Dhabi Challenge Week.

Abu Bakr defeated his Brazilian rival Ribeiro by decision of the referees.

Meanwhile, Azerbaijani Assaf Sharbov defeated his Angolan competitor Demarti by surrendering in the third round of the featherweight competition.

The fight for the lightweight title, which was scheduled to bring together Russian Amr Mammadov and Armenian Marton Mezhlomyan, was canceled due to the latter’s illness.

The competitions were witnessed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and Sheikh Issa bin Saeed bin Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan.

This edition of the tournament also witnessed the presence of world martial arts legends and stars.

They were led by world champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Renzo Gracie, Kazushi Sakuraba, Bob Sapp, and Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauru” Nogueira.

Following the conclusion of the fights, Abdul Moneim Al Hashemi, President of the UAE and Asian Jiu-Jitsu Federations, First Vice President of the International Federation, and Chairman of the Supreme Committee of the Championship, crowned the winners.

This was attended by Saleh Al Jaziri, Director of Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri, Vice President of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, and Fouad Darwish, CEO of Palms Sports Company and Chairman of the Organizing Committee.

Mohammed Salem Al Dhaheri stressed that the success of the 64th edition of “Emirates Warriors” is a continuation of the successes achieved during its previous editions.

He pointed out that the tournament has become a milestone in martial arts competitions at the regional and international levels.

Especially with the participation of an elite group of Arab fighters in it.

For his part, Fouad Darwish announced that the next edition of the tournament will be held on December 7 in Lebanon for the first time.

He stressed that the current edition witnessed an exceptional audience presence, which reflects the fans’ passion and desire to follow the fights.

He expressed his pride in the great status the tournament has achieved with the participation of an elite group of fighters from all over the world, and the remarkable presence of the most prominent stars of the game.
