Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The Vice President’s Jiu-Jitsu Cup, held over two days at the Shabab Al Ahli Club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, concluded today. The event attracted participants from various clubs and academies across the country. It showcased a diverse range of skills and dedication. The second day witnessed the finals of all participating categories. This culminated in an exciting competition.

At the conclusion of the competition, Sharjah Self-Defense Sports Club emerged victorious in the Under-14 category. Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club secured the top spot in the Under-16 category. Al Jazira Jiu-Jitsu Club claimed first place in the Under-18 category. In the Adult category, Bani Yas Jiu-Jitsu Club emerged triumphant.

Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, the Secretary General of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation, extended his heartfelt congratulations to the triumphant clubs and academies. He also expressed his gratitude to Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club for hosting the tournament. Al Shamsi underscored the pivotal role of clubs and academies in the country’s jiu-jitsu success.

He said, “The Vice President’s Jiu-Jitsu Cup holds a prominent place in our annual sporting calendar. It is recognized for its unique blend of artistic and societal significance. This year’s edition witnessed remarkable competitions. These demonstrated the dedication of clubs and academies, while simultaneously contributing to the discovery and nurturing of young talent across all age groups.”

Zayed Al Kaabi, the coach of Al Ain Jiu-Jitsu Club, expressed satisfaction with the club’s recent achievements. They successfully won the Under-16 title and secured second place in the Under-14 and Under-18 categories. The club is thrilled with these results and eagerly anticipates continuing its success. Additionally, they set their sights on securing more titles to further solidify their position and accomplishments on the local scene.

Ribamar Santiago, the coach of the Baniyas Jiu-Jitsu Club, expressed his gratitude for the team’s achievement. He acknowledged the contributions of the management, coaches, and all the club’s staff in making this milestone possible. Santiago also highlighted the players’ unwavering commitment to training and their consistent progress, which has led to their outstanding performances.

Sultan Al Kaabi, a player from Bani Yas Club, expressed immense joy and gratitude for their achievement of winning the adult category title. They had dedicated a significant amount of time and effort to preparing and training for this crucial tournament. Despite facing formidable challenges, and the presence of esteemed players, they emerged victorious. Hareb Al Hammadi, a player from Al Jazira Jiu-Jitsu Club, shared a moment of pride and excitement. He acknowledged the hard work and dedication of both themselves and their teammates. This victory had motivated them to continue striving for further success in future tournaments.
