Seoul, South Korea – Samsung Electronics on Tuesday unveiled its latest innovation in the world of smartphones, its first tri-fold phone called the “Galaxy Z Tri-Fold,” which features a giant screen that reaches 10 inches when fully opened.

This new device comes to offer a flexible and unprecedented user experience, allowing users to adapt the device to different situations.

Slimmer design and a giant screen

Samsung confirmed that the “Galaxy Z Tri Fold” combines a large size with ultra-thinness:

Main screen: 10-inch screen when the device is fully opened.

Cover screen: A 6.5-inch external screen when folded, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

Thinness: This device is the thinnest foldable phone Samsung has released to date, measuring 12.9 mm when folded and only 3.9 mm when unfolded.

Weight: The device weighs 309 grams.

Specifications and Global Launch

The device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile platform, which is exclusive to Galaxy devices. It features an inward-folding design specifically developed to protect the screen, and alerts users with vibrations and notifications if any faults are detected.

Offer details

Capacity and price: A single version with 512GB of storage will be released in black, priced at 3.59 million won (approximately US$2,430).

Launch date: The device will be officially launched in the South Korean domestic market on December 12.

Global markets: It is scheduled to launch globally in several key markets including China, Taiwan, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States.
