Tehran, Iran – Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ali Khamenei, described US President Donald Trump as a “criminal who constantly tries to destabilize the region and spread chaos.” He asserted that the Iranian people have proven their ability to withstand such attempts in recent years. He also stated that they have “broken the back of the sedition” that Iran’s enemies have tried to ignite both domestically and internationally.
In a speech to a number of senior Iranian officials, Khamenei emphasized that the challenges facing Iran today are not new. Moreover, he affirmed that history has proven that national unity and popular will are the only way to confront external pressures. He said, “The enemy always tries to exploit crises to divide the ranks of the people, but the Iranian people have always been vigilant and decisive in their response.”
Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei added that US policies toward Iran have brought nothing but failure and chaos. He emphasized that sanctions and attempts at political and economic pressure have not weakened the will of the Iranian people. Rather, these measures have strengthened their resolve to defend their national achievements.
Khamenei’s remarks come at a time of escalating tensions in the Middle East. There are continued US sanctions on Iran and increasingly hostile political rhetoric toward Tehran. Therefore, his message is clear to all parties: the Iranian people are united, and their national will will not allow any foreign interference to succeed in dividing or destabilizing them.
Khamenei also highlighted the crucial role of the Iranian people’s awareness in thwarting attempts to sow discord within the country. He praised the popular and societal efforts to maintain stability. Additionally, he emphasized that “national unity has been and will remain the strongest weapon against any external plot, no matter how powerful.”
The Supreme Leader concluded his remarks by affirming that Iran will continue its independent policies. It will defend its sovereignty and interests. He also stressed that it will not yield to any external pressure, regardless of the severity of the sanctions or the intensity of the media campaigns.
