Tripoli, Libya – In official statements today, the Libyan Foreign Minister emphasized the necessity of the withdrawal of all mercenaries and foreign forces from Libyan territory. He stressed that their continued presence poses a direct threat to the country’s stability and national sovereignty.

The Minister noted that Libya faces significant challenges due to foreign interference and that genuine solutions can only be achieved with the state regaining full control over its borders and territory. He added that all foreign military intervention must cease. He further stated that the international community is obligated to support Libya’s efforts to restore security and prevent any attempts to exploit its resources or destabilize the country through the presence of armed foreign forces.

He emphasized that the government is committed to national dialogue and political negotiations but will not compromise on the country’s sovereignty. He asserted that the withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign forces is the essential step towards achieving lasting peace and launching the reconstruction process.

The Minister’s statements come amidst ongoing unrest in some Libyan regions and growing international calls for support for Libya on the path to political and security stability, sending a clear message: national sovereignty is non-negotiable.
