Tel AVIV, Israel – The Israeli government said it knows where Iran stores nearly 400 kilograms of uranium enriched to levels close to weapons manufacturing grade.
“We certainly know where he is,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. We have a very good idea of where he is.”
He added that Israel shared this intelligence information with the United States.
According to a report issued by the International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran possessed more than 400 kilograms of uranium enriched to a purity of 60 percent in early summer, before the start of the war launched by Israel against it.
It is noteworthy that the production of nuclear weapons requires additional enrichment exceeding 90 percent.
Iran denies seeking to possess nuclear weapons.
It remains unclear to what extent Iran maintains this stockpile of 60 percent enriched uranium.
And whether its enrichment capabilities remain intact after the American and Israeli attacks in June (June).
When Netanyahu was asked whether Israel was planning to confiscate uranium, he did not provide a direct answer.
At the same time, it is widely believed that Israel possesses a secret nuclear arsenal.
Netanyahu said: “We must maintain diplomatic and economic pressure on Iran, to make it clear that we will not tolerate the resumption of its efforts to build nuclear bombs”.
Restoring sanctions on Iran
Nearly ten years after the historic nuclear agreement with Iran, UN sanctions imposed on Tehran were reimposed on Sunday.
The deadline for reaching an agreement between Tehran and its negotiating partners (Germany, the United Kingdom, and France) has expired.
The three European countries have reimposed sanctions, accusing Iran of violating the 2015 nuclear deal.
Especially by enriching uranium to levels far exceeding what is required for civilian purposes.
