  • Call for De-escalation and Political Solutions

Cairo, Egypt — The Arab Republic of Egypt strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates, reaffirming its complete solidarity with Abu Dhabi and rejecting any threat to its security or citizens. In an official statement issued Monday, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed deep concern over the recent strikes—including a drone intercepted by UAE air defense systems over territorial waters—while noting that attacks also targeted the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Furthermore, Cairo warned of the severe risks posed by continued military escalation across the region.

Conflict Escalation Risks and Maritime Security

Egypt emphasized that ongoing attacks represent a direct threat to the sovereignty and safety of brotherly Arab nations, creating serious risks of broadening the conflict beyond its current boundaries. In addition, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry highlighted the vital importance of safeguarding maritime navigation and ensuring the unhindered passage of vessels through international straits in compliance with international law. Consequently, Cairo called for an immediate halt to actions that compromise global trade routes and regional economic security.

Call for De-escalation and Political Solutions

Meanwhile, Cairo reiterated its call for all involved parties to cease hostility immediately and prioritize dialogue to de-escalate tensions. As a result, Egypt underscored that returning to the negotiation table and empowering diplomatic pathways remain the most viable means to resolve underlying disputes and protect regional populations from further volatility.

Ultimately, Egypt’s firm posture highlights its commitment to defending the security and territorial integrity of its Arab partners. In conclusion, coordinated diplomatic pressure and restraint are essential to curbing further escalation and restoring long-term stability across the Middle East.
