Amman, Jordan – The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the State of Kuwait. It affirmed its full solidarity with Kuwait and its support in confronting any threat to its security, stability, or sovereignty.
In a statement, the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates emphasized the Kingdom’s categorical rejection of any actions that would destabilize the region or endanger the safety of brotherly nations. Furthermore, it stressed the necessity of respecting the principles of good neighborliness and adhering to international law and the Charter of the United Nations.
Jordan reiterated its support for all measures taken by the State of Kuwait to maintain its security and territorial integrity. ItIn addition, it expressed its confidence in the Kuwaiti authorities’ ability to address various security challenges in a manner that safeguards the security of citizens and residents.
The Kingdom also called for restraint and prioritized diplomatic solutions and dialogue to avoid further escalation in the region. ItMoreover, it emphasized that maintaining regional security and stability requires strengthening cooperation among states, respecting their sovereignty, and refraining from interfering in their internal affairs.
Jordan’s position comes amidst escalating regional tensions. ManyMeanwhile, many Arab states continue to express their solidarity with Kuwait and affirm their rejection of any attacks targeting its security or threatening the stability of the Gulf region.
