Amman, Jordan – The Jordanian Armed Forces announced that its forces successfully intercepted four missiles and six Iranian drones, confirming that the interceptions were carried out with high efficiency as part of ongoing efforts to protect the Kingdom’s airspace and maintain the security of its citizens.
The Armed Forces explained that air defense units engaged the targets immediately upon detection, shooting them down before they could pose a threat to populated areas or vital installations. They also noted that the Armed Forces continue to monitor the airspace around the clock to address any potential threats.
The General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that protecting the Kingdom’s sovereignty and security is a top priority, and that the Armed Forces have full readiness to confront any violation of the airspace, whatever its source.
This development comes in light of the escalation of military tensions taking place in the region, with increasing missile and drone launches. In addition, this imposes a state of security alert in a number of neighboring countries. This happens in anticipation of any repercussions that may affect its lands.
For its part, the Jordanian authorities urged citizens to obtain information from official sources and not to be swayed by rumors, emphasizing that the relevant agencies are closely monitoring developments and taking the necessary measures to maintain the security and stability of the Kingdom.
