Tel Aviv, Israel – Israeli Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir stated that Hezbollah is experiencing a period of exhaustion due to the losses it has suffered.
He considered the coming period crucial in determining the course of the framework agreement between Israel and Lebanon.
He also emphasized that the future of the situation on the border will be determined later.
Assessment of the field situation
The Israeli Chief of Staff explained that Hezbollah is “exhausted and heavily wounded.”
He added that its members are “trapped underground,” referring to what he described as the group’s diminished field capabilities.

The Israeli Chief of Staff emphasized that the current phase represents
a practical test of both sides’ commitment to implementing the framework agreement.
He indicated that actions on the ground will be the decisive factor in assessing the success of the understandings.
