Beirut, Lebanon – The Lebanese Interior Minister confirmed that the Lebanese government has provided assurances to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia regarding the safety of Lebanese exports.
He noted that stringent security measures have been implemented to prevent the exploitation of export operations for any illegal activities.
These steps are part of efforts to strengthen trust between the two countries and aim to support trade exchange.
Security guarantees for the Saudi side
The minister explained in statements to Al Arabiya that Lebanese authorities have been implementing
a series of monitoring and security measures to ensure the safety of exports destined for Saudi Arabia.
He added that these measures aim to prevent any attempts to exploit commercial shipments or use them in smuggling operations.
He also affirmed Lebanon’s full commitment to the standards and procedures agreed upon with the Saudi side.
Tightening export controls
The Lebanese Interior Minister indicated that the relevant authorities
have implemented strict security measures at ports, border crossings, and export centers.
These measures aim to monitor shipments and ensure their compliance with established regulations.
He emphasized that these steps are part of the Lebanese government’s efforts to bolster confidence in Lebanese products
and exports and to maintain economic relations with Arab countries, with Saudi Arabia being a primary partner.

The minister described Saudi Arabia’s decision to resume receiving Lebanese exports as a significant
and important step in supporting Lebanon and its economy, especially given the economic challenges facing the country.
He explained that the return of exports to the Saudi market will provide new opportunities for Lebanese producers and exporters.
It will also contribute to revitalizing trade and increasing the flow of Lebanese goods to one of the most important markets in the region.
This will have a positive impact on Lebanese production sectors and the economy as a whole.
