Manchester, England – Manchester United achieved an important victory over Brentford with a score of 2-1, in the match that brought them together as part of the 34th round of the English Premier League.
Casemiro opened the scoring early in the 11th minute, heading in a cross after a pass from Harry Maguire.
Benjamin Sissoko added the second goal in the 43rd minute, after a perfect pass from Bruno Fernandes, to strengthen the home side’s lead before the end of the first half.
In the second half, Brentford tried to come back, and Mathias Jensen managed to reduce the deficit with a goal in the 87th minute, but that was not enough to avoid defeat.
With this result, Manchester United raised its tally to 61 points to take sole possession of third place in the standings, while Brentford’s tally remained frozen at 48 points in ninth place.
