Beirut, Lebanon – The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced that the Israeli aggression, which began on March 2, has resulted in 2,167 martyrs and 7,061 wounded across various regions of Lebanon. This toll reflects the significant human cost of the ongoing conflict.
Impact of aggression on infrastructure
The ministry confirmed that the aggression not only resulted in loss of life but also targeted vital infrastructure, including hospitals, schools, and electricity and water networks. As a result, the suffering of civilians has increased, and the damage has hampered emergency relief efforts in the affected areas.
Response of medical and relief teams
The ministry explained that medical teams are working around the clock to provide first aid and treatment to the wounded. It also noted that field hospitals and emergency centers are under immense pressure due to the large number of casualties. Furthermore, there remains a continuing need for urgent international support to alleviate the humanitarian crisis.
International calls for a ceasefire
The Lebanese Ministry of Health called on the international community to pressure all parties involved to immediately halt the aggression and protect civilians. It stressed that the continuation of the conflict is exacerbating the humanitarian crisis and threatening the stability of Lebanon and the entire region.
