Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the United States discussed the latest developments in the region, within the framework of their joint coordination to address escalating challenges. They also discussed strengthening regional stability in light of the tensions surrounding several contentious issues.

The meeting addressed the evolving political and security situation in the region and ways to contain the escalation in a number of hotspots. In addition, they discussed international and regional efforts aimed at supporting diplomatic solutions and preventing further escalation.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued strategic consultation between the GCC and the United States, considering it a cornerstone in addressing regional crises. They stressed this particularly in light of the rapid changes taking place in the region.

The two sides also emphasized the need to enhance cooperation in the security, defense, and economic fields, which contributes to supporting regional stability and protecting the interests of the people. Furthermore, they affirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to confront the challenges threatening the region’s security.

The meeting concluded by emphasizing the importance of unifying international efforts to support stability and de-escalate tensions. This, in turn, paves the way for sustainable political solutions to the existing crises.
