Qatar – Doha – The Qatari Ministry of Transport issued an important decision today, Saturday. It was officially decided to initiate the resumption of maritime navigation in Qatar for all types of ships and marine craft. This decision will take effect starting tomorrow morning, Sunday. The ministry specified the time period from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM for general trips. This move aims to boost maritime transport and commercial activity in the country. The decision intends to organize maritime operations and ensure a smooth flow of vessel traffic.

Permission for Marine Fishing Activities Around the Clock

The new circular included special facilities for fishermen and specialized companies. The resumption of maritime navigation in Qatar was approved for fishing vessels holding official licenses. These ships will be able to sail throughout the entire day without time restrictions. The ministry emphasized the necessity of adhering to the laws governing fishing and international navigation. This step aims to effectively support the country’s fisheries sector. It also contributes to stabilizing local markets and meeting consumer needs.

Strict Commitment to Maritime Security and Safety Standards

The ministry called on all ship and craft owners to exercise extreme caution. The resumption of maritime navigation in Qatar is linked to the availability of all security and safety equipment. Readiness of rescue tools and first aid must be verified before every sailing trip. These measures aim to protect lives and property in Qatari territorial waters. Competent authorities will monitor the extent of everyone’s commitment to the recently issued technical instructions. The safety of passengers and marine crews is a top priority that cannot be compromised.

Supporting National Economy and Stabilizing Commercial Operations

The decision to return to navigation is part of state efforts to enhance economic stability. The resumption of maritime navigation in Qatar contributes to the regularity of import and export movements through ports. It also supports commercial and fishing operations previously affected by temporary conditions. Qatar is working on developing its maritime infrastructure to become a vital regional hub. This decision benefits all users of Qatari waters and shipping companies. The Ministry of Transport continues to provide necessary support to ensure the safety of sea voyages.
