Tel Aviv – Israel – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Wednesday that his country is ready to return to military operations against Iran at any time. He stressed that Israel will not retreat before achieving all its strategic objectives. These objectives may be achieved through a political agreement or by resuming fighting.
Continued Military Readiness
Benjamin Netanyahu explained in a televised speech that Israel has achieved what he described as “tremendous accomplishments” in recent weeks. He noted that recent military operations have significantly weakened Iran while strengthening Israeli military capabilities. In addition, he added that Tel Aviv still has additional objectives to accomplish. He affirmed that “Israel’s finger is on the trigger” in anticipation of any field developments.
Coordination with Washington and Possible Escalation
Benjamin Netanyahu indicated that the ceasefire between the United States and Iran was coordinated with his country. He pointed to full coordination with Washington regarding handling the Iranian file, particularly the nuclear program. Moreover, he considered that Iran has been set back years due to the strikes. Its missile production capabilities have been damaged and its current stockpile depleted.
Hezbollah Outside the Agreement
Benjamin Netanyahu stressed that the ceasefire does not include Hezbollah. He confirmed that Israeli military operations will continue against it inside Lebanon. He also noted that recent attacks on Lebanese territory are among the most intense in a while. This comes amid a wide escalation that resulted in a large number of casualties.
He confirmed that Israel will continue its military actions to achieve its national security. Israel will keep all options open, whether through diplomatic or military paths. This is in light of rapidly evolving regional developments.
